What is the Church of Christ?

Churches of Christ are autonomous, non-denominational, assemblies of CHRISTIANS. We speak where the Bible speaks, but remain silent where the Bible is silent.

Our Lake Land congregation is overseen by a plurality of elders or bishops, who were chosen based on qualifications established in scriptures (1 Timothy 3:1-8).

We believe in following the example of the 1st Century church as outlined in the New Testament. We meet on the first day of the week to break bread, take up a collection, praise God through acappella singing (Ephesians 5:19), study the Word, and plead with the LORD on behalf of all believers in prayer.
